How to change your account password

To change your password, use the following link:

Do you not like using links?

1. In your web browser, go to office.com
2. Select the apps menu (Dotted square) on the top left corner
3. Then select The Change your password option
4. If the Change your password option is not present, select All apps at the bottom of the list and then look for the Change Password app

The new password must meet the minimum requirements outlined in our corporate policies, including:

1. It must be at least ten (10) characters long.
2. It must contain at least one character from the following groups of characters:
a. Uppercase letters (A-Z)
b. Lowercase letters (a-z)
c. Numbers (0-9)
d. Symbols (!@#$%^&*...)
3. It cannot match any of your previous 8 passwords.
4. You can change your password once every 24 hours.

Important! After you change your password:

1. launch the Fortinet VPN app    


2. Replace the old password with your new computer password
3. Select Connect and let the system sync with the cloud for around 15 minutes

If you have a Council cellphone, you will be prompted to update your password for any Microsoft apps installed.
